instructions

step 1

Soak chickpeas overnight or use canned chickpeas. If using dried chickpeas, pressure cook until tender.

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, chopped onions, ginger, and garlic. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.

Add tomato puree and spices (turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and red chili powder). Cook until oil separates.

Add the cooked chickpeas and water. Simmer for 10-15 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
